So, you want to join Broads–you’ve come to the right place! Broad Recognition is a leftist, intersectional feminist magazine that features journalism, art, and poetry. We aim to be able to provide a space for everyone at Broads, but we particularly hope to center the work and voices of Black, Indigenous, and transfeminine folks.

You can join Broads at any time in the year and with any level of experience. Commitments with Broads can be as high or as low as you’d like. In this page, we’ll walk you through some of the many ways you can get involved. We have a relatively small staff and horizontal organizational structure, but we want to provide clear ways for new folks to join our team.
